OSINT, or Open Source Intelligence, is the collection and analysis of data from publicly available sources to produce actionable intelligence. These sources may include traditional media, forums, blogs, government publications, academic reports, satellite imagery, but above all social networks and all information accessible via search engines and websites. OSINT is an essential discipline in cybersecurity, law enforcement, business intelligence, and investigative journalism, enabling threat tracking, fact-checking, and evidence gathering using only data that anyone could potentially access.
